RECOVER-E Implementation Science Week at Trimbos: 18-22 June 2018
June 21, 2018
From 18-22 June 2018, Trimbos is hosting a delegation of research teams from five European countries partnering in the RECOVER-E project consortium. Within the RECOVER-E project these teams carry out research to evaluate effectiveness and the impact of implementing community based mental health team for severe mental illness.
During a full week of training, researchers from Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Bulgaria engage in interactive sessions and discussions about the research in RECOVER-E and implementation science.
The implementation research week is instrumental in ensuring that all research partners are well-equipped to perform their activities throughout the 3,5 year project. Various in-depth topics like health economic evaluation, power calculations for sample size and recruitment processes during clinical trials are covered by experts from Trimbos as well as Heidelberg University. In addition, the week will support further collaboration processes in the project, addressing any emerging issues and planning next steps.
RECOVER-E intends to contribute towards improving the level of functioning and quality of life and mental health outcomes for people with severe and enduring mental ill health (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression). This will be achieved by adapting and up scaling the implementation of a community‐based service delivery model in 5 implementation sites in low and middle‐income countries and vulnerable populations in high‐income countries in Europe.
