Roelof Jonkers Acting Chairman Trimbos Institute

Starting April 10, 2018 Mr. Roelof Jonkers will serve as Acting Chairman of the Trimbos Institute Board of Directors. Prior to this, the current chairman, Prof. Dr. Rutger Engels will say farewell. He was appointed to Rector Magnificus by the Erasmus University in Rotterdam starting May 1, 2018.
Together with Mrs. Marie Christine Allaer, LLM, Roelof Jonkers will implement the current strategy, budget, and plans for 2018 on behalf of the Board of Directors. In the latter part of 2018, he will be responsible for smoothly transferring responsibilities to the permanent successor of the Board of Directors Chairman. Recruitment for this position was started by Klaus Schmitt & Partners in cooperation with the Supervisory Board.
Roelof Jonkers is very experienced in the field of health care management. He has connections in mental health care, elderly care, and addiction care, STZ hospitals, and university medical centers. Currently he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Verslavingszorg Noord Nederland. Earlier he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board at AMC De Meren, during the merge with Jellinek Kliniek, Mentrum and Arkin (mental health care and addiction care Amsterdam region). Formerly he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Kwadrantgroep in Friesland, of Zorgbalans in Haarlem, of the Catharina hospital in Eindhoven and vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Leiden University Medical Center. He has much affinity with education and research. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Center for Research and Development of Education in Utrecht.
