New Trimbos representative in Brussels appointed
September 1, 2016
As of September 2016, Chris Nas will represent the Trimbos Institute in Brussels.
After graduating in Medicine and Policy Sciences, Chris Nas has been working for more than 25 years as policy advisor, project leader and management consultant in Dutch healthcare. He has worked for the Dutch professional associations of physical therapists, nurses, mental health service providers and Deloitte.
In September 2016 he joined the Trimbos Institute – the Dutch research and knowledge centre on mental health and addiction - after representing the interests of Dutch mental health service providers in the Netherlands and Europe for 7.5 years.
The Trimbos Institute opened its Brussels office in February 2015. The office will increase the engagement and presence of the Trimbos Institute in the EU capital, as well as offer assistance to researchers and policy makers in need of information, building networks, or establishing partnerships.
The priority areas of the Trimbos Institute in Brussels are mental health (prevention and promotion, digital solutions, community mental health services, dementia and informal carers) and addictions (tobacco, alcohol, drugs, gaming and gambling).
