Dementia Glasses Win Silver VR Award 2017

The Dementia Glasses, a 360 degree simulation movie on Virtual Reality Glasses with an online course (e-learning), got second place in the category “Immersive VR 360 video productions” of the Dutch VR Awards 2017.

The Dementia Glasses were developed by the Trimbos Institute in cooperation with the Into D’mentia Foundation and were financed by Alzheimer Nederland and the PGGM pension fund. The video enables somebody to pretend to be a person with dementia. This way one can experience what people with dementia face in everyday situations and how others in their surroundings respond to them. The additional e-learning offers information and exercises, adding an extra dimension to the video.
