iSupport, an online training program for caregivers of people with dementia

Today the World Health Organization (WHO) is launching iSupport, an online training program for caregivers of people with dementia. The Trimbos Institute, under the auspices of the WHO, contributed toward the contents as well as the technical development of this program.

iSupport helps caregivers to:

  • understand the impact of dementia
  • deal with challenging behaviors
  • provide good care
  • take care of themselves

In India the program is currently being evaluated for its effectiveness. It can be adapted for use in any country worldwide.
