About this project:

The subject of ADHD in addiction is in development. Researchers in several countries are investigating the relationship between the two and devising treatment strategies. In developing the ADHD in Addiction Protocol, the Trimbos Institute performed pioneering work in this area. It continued this by working to create Dutch and international networks and by organising the International Invitational Conference on ADHD and Substance Abuse in December 2005, attended by fourteen leading researchers from six countries. They discussed the current state of research, knowledge gaps, research priorities, funding potentials and possibilities for collaboration
