About this project:

The Rapid Assessment and Response (RAR) method has proved useful in many fields for mapping problems swiftly and with relatively modest financial and staff resources, as well as for developing appropriate interventions. In this development project, CVO Addiction Research Centre and the Trimbos Institute developed an assessment instrument and intervention protocol for problem substance use amongst asylum seekers in the Netherlands. The instrument enabled both addiction services and agencies working with asylum seekers to quickly gauge the nature and scale of substance use and the need for preventative intervention.
