Implementation

The Trimbos Institute translates knowledge into practice in order to improve the quality of mental health and addiction services. We develop programmes and guidelines, devoting particular attention to client participation. We provide agencies with support in implementing and evaluating the services.

Quality and organisation of care

  • Mental Health Care (GGz) Trend Report. Annual overview of changes in the organisation, structure and financing of the mental health care institutions. It also provides information about service access and utilisation and about developments in quality and effectiveness of care.
  • CQ Index. Assesses clients’ experiences with services such as short-term outpatient mental health care services. The CQ Index replaces the Client Appreciation Thermometer.
  • MEMO – National Monitor of Elderly Mental Health Care. Annual overview of quality and effectiveness of mental health care for older people.
Youth
Young services are in constant development, and they form a key topic on the social welfare agenda. Social developments generate new issues in parenting, care and education. As a centre of expertise the Trimbos Institute promotes the development of high-quality services for young people. A shortlist for this group:

Older people
The Trimbos Ageing programme promotes knowledge development to improve mental health care for older people, as well as the translation of knowledge into policy and practice. Key focuses are:

  • Dementia, depression and anxiety
  • Long-term psychiatry and monitoring
  • Development of assessment tools
