Researchers from the Trimbos Institute publish in many prestigious academic and professional journals in the Netherlands and abroad. From 1 January 2008 to 1 August 2009 alone, they were responsible for 184 articles or chapters in journals or books.

Trimbos researchers also publish in a several open-access journals, including the International Journal of Integrated Care and BMC Public Health. They have contributed to yearbooks and collections of articles such as Psychiatrische Rehabilitatie: Jaarboek 2008-2009 and Koersen op Kwaliteit in de GGZ.
