Awards

The following researchers and projects at the Trimbos Institute have recently been awarded prizes for their work:

  • Senior lecturer Wilma Boevink received the Douglas Bennett Award, a prize for individuals or institutions that have made significant contributions to the rehabilitation of people with mental health issues (2006).
  • The Trimbos Institute and the East Brabant Mental Health Service received the HRM Innovatieprijs (Human Resources Management Innovation Prize) for their proposal for a digital self-help course for work-related stress (2006).
  • Senior lecturer Filip Smit received the 2007 CaRe Award from the Netherlands School of Primary Care Research for his PhD thesis Prevention of Depression.
  • The programme The Healthy School and Drugs received the first Dutch E-Learning Award for its innovative use of technology to improve educational achievement (2009).
  • Open en Alert, a project on alcohol and drug prevention aimed at youth at risk, won a WHO Best Practice Award for Health in Prisons, 2009.
  • Jacomine de Lange received the Psychogeriatrieprijs 2010 (Psychogeriatrics Award) from the Vereniging voor Psychogeriatrie.

  • The online intervention Dementie de baas received in 2010 at the 25th International Conference of Alzheimer's Disease a price as 'most promising psychosocial intervention'.
